At the start of each session, both the Client and Practitioner agree to the following:

  • Age and Legal Status:Both parties are at least 18 years of age; neither is under the influence of a power of attorney or court protection order, and neither has been designated as vulnerable.
  • Health Status:Both parties are in good health, with no infectious or contagious conditions, and are not required to self-isolate or quarantine.

  • Physical and Mental Readiness:Both parties are physically and psychologically fit to participate in the session and take full responsibility for their actions, including giving explicit consent to participate.
  • Personal Hygiene:Both parties will observe high standards of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Fragrances such as perfumes or aftershave should not be used.
  • Clothing Expectations:Both parties will remain clothed throughout the session, with a minimum of tank top, shorts, and underpants. Any change of clothing will be done privately before or after the session.
  • Code of Conduct Acknowledgement:Both parties have read, understood, and agreed to this Code of Conduct.

Platonic Nature of Cuddle Therapy:

Cuddle therapy is strictly a platonic, non-sexual activity. Both the Client and Practitioner agree not to touch areas covered by a bikini (minimum clothing: tank top, shorts, and underpants). There is no kissing, grinding, or sexual behaviour involved. If arousal occurs, it will be respectfully acknowledged and managed without becoming a focus of the session.

  1. Inclusivity:

The Practitioner is open to providing services to individuals of all ages, abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations, except for those with conditions that may render cuddling unsuitable. Specific medical or psychological conditions may affect eligibility.

  1. Fees and Payment:

The Practitioner will clarify session fees before booking. The Client agrees to pay in advance or at the start of the session.

  1. Identification:

Both Client and Practitioner agree to exchange real names and provide evidence of identity if requested. Detailed personal information such as driving licence numbers is not required.

  1. Health Disclosure:

The Client agrees to disclose any medical, psychiatric, psychological, or other relevant conditions to ensure the Practitioner can provide appropriate care.

  1. Non-Therapeutic Nature of Service:

The Practitioner’s services are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment and do not provide clinical care. The Practitioner does not possess formal medical or mental health qualifications unless specified.

  1. Consent and Boundaries:

Consent is central to cuddle therapy. Both Client and Practitioner agree to respect personal boundaries, engage in open communication, and seek clear, mutual consent before any touch. Sessions may involve no touch if desired.

  1. Emotional Expression:

Cuddle therapy may bring out a range of emotions, including tears or laughter. The Client is free to leave at any time, but it is encouraged to express discomfort to ensure mutual understanding and comfort.

  1. Confidentiality:

The Practitioner will maintain the confidentiality of all Client information, except in circumstances where disclosure is necessary for safety, legal purposes, or when the Client has provided written consent. Trusted third parties may be informed for safety reasons, but records will be destroyed after the session.

  1. Respect for Practitioner’s Privacy:

The Client agrees to respect the privacy of the Practitioner and will not initiate contact outside of the agreed communication method.

  1. Post-Session Communication:

Communication between sessions is limited to matters related to the sessions themselves. Any additional conversation offered by the Practitioner is considered a separate service.

  1. Breach of Conduct:

If the Client breaches this Code of Conduct or engages in inappropriate behaviour, the session will end immediately without refund. The Practitioner may report such behaviour to relevant authorities.

  1. Practitioner Misconduct:

If the Practitioner violates the Code of Conduct or engages in inappropriate behaviour, the Client should report it immediately for a full refund. The Client is free to end the session at any time without providing a reason, in which case no refund is due.

  1. Binding Agreement:

This Code of Conduct is a binding part of the contract between the Client and Practitioner.
